No idea. It's gonna be 3 movies (that's the least for such a complex story), first one coming out August 30 in Japan. I hope it's not gonna be direct-to-DVD in western countries. Most live manga adaptations are not shown in theaters in Europe, is it any different in the US ?

Anyway I was sure this was coming. I mean, such a successful manga not being adapted in anime, that could only mean "live film".

in dublin, we have lots of cinemas. including the IFI (irish film institute - a lot like the BFI in london) and the lighthouse which both show nothing but "alternative cinema" i.e. art house, foreign cinema, and docs.

i am pretty sure one of the cinemas will get the film, even if just for a week.

yeah it's the steam-punk version... kind of "the league of extraordinary watchmen".
