That effect on film might be just right; doesn't Hollis Mason describe the sensation of his brain screaming when meeting Manhattan for the first time? Weird is good in this case.
Any clue as to whether the JFK scene will appear as it does in the comic and so forming part of Manhattan's memory flashbacks whilst on Mars, or if it'll be spliced into this opening credits montage we keep hearing about? I only ask because it was stated that they'll be filming some JFK assassination scenes as well - these
don't actually appear in the comic (mention made only) and a montage would, on the face of it, seem to be the appropriate place to insert these. Do any of the main 'hero' characters appear in this alleged montage themselves, or is it purely facsimile newsreel footage of lookalike extras?
Anyone?
I too was curious about the assassination mention, but then I read the panel they filmed. I'm guessing that from the line, "Two years later, in Dallas, his head snaps forward and back. Two shots...," Snyder might just be using it as a quick snapshot/flash when Jon says that line. As in, he'll say the line, we'll probably hear 2 gunshots and have a quick bullet-speed flash of the assassination scene.
