Not yet. Dave has all of the questions, I'm waiting to hear back from him.

I can imagine the replies are pretty thorough. He seems a chatty chap, and all the interviews I've read recently are notable because he usually embellishes his answers. (His new book is going to be a great read, I'm sure).

What I am trying to get at is that it would be very nice to have all the answers in one go. Please don't split them like we had in the "Ask Zack" section.

Go for it! It will also have maximun impact. Otherwise it will feel watered-down from the offset.

Thoughts?

The questions were sent to Dave today. He told me he'd take a look at them tomorrow. One third of the questions were from WCM.com and the other two-thirds from the fan submissions.

Expect it to take around two weeks to get posted.

It's exactly 2 weeks now... :?

*Still holding my breath*

Received and just finished listening to an MP3 file Dave sent me with the answers to all of the questions. Fantastic stuff. Thanks, Dave.

The audio file was 55 minutes long, and we may, at some point release it as a podcast - maybe. Don't hold me to that.

We are going to transcribe the file, send it to Dave so he can proof it, and then clear it with WB before posting it on the site.

How much longer will you have to wait? I'm not sure, but it could be another week or two.

I'll keep you all in the loop.

I'm working on the transcription right now. Instead of typing them up, he sent his answers in the form of an MP3, for whatever reason. It'll take a few days with my schedule, but it'll get done.

Uncle Dave certainly didn't skimp on any details. It's both amazing and refreshing how he takes one question and goes as far as he can with it, without ever straying from the topic.

I have to admit, it's also quite unusual to listen to. I know that he was just talking into a microphone, but he has such a casual, warm way of speaking that it feels like he's just sitting across from me. Possibly by a warm fire, with a cup of tea in his hand. DD talked about releasing this as a podcast and I really hope we can get the greenlight to do that.

There's a lot to be excited about here. I can't wait to keep going.

Awww can't we just listen to the MP3 ourselves? Oh well I should stop whining and lay quietly till the transcription arrives.

Thanks guys for arranging the interview with Dave. Really appreciate it.

Now I have to find something to distract myself... :?

if what you say is true, if we get the mp3 i'm going to make a cup of tea each and sit in front of a fire with my laptop in an arm chair with an image of dave on it and pretend we're friends for a little while...

And repeat, until we believe that we are his best friend :?

Dave's MP3 is 55 minutes long, so keep in mind that it could take Curiosity a couple weeks to get it all transcribed.

Because it's so long, this might have to be be posted in two parts, so don't kill me. If it does, I will post both parts the same week. Like part one on a Monday and part two on Wednesday.

I'm actually doing a Web site for an International company where it will automatically change the spelling of words depending on what region the site is being viewed from. So if you're in the UK it will change "color" to "colour" and "organization" to "organisation." Pretty neat.

So take the lift to the car park, you git, and have some bangers and mash. Bob's your uncle and all that rot. Long live the Queen!

Quick update: The transcription is taking up seven pages of notes (single-spaced) and I'm only halfway through the mp3.

I hate to admit it, but we may even have to go into three parts for this one. There's a shit-ton here and I promise that you guys will not be disappointed.

Aside from the creators of Watchmen themselves, I'm now only the second person to know some of Watchmen's deepest and most controversial secrets. And soon enough, all of you will know them, too.
