Baz from REDEYE Magazine interviewed me yesterday for a big feature article he's doing on Watchmen for an upcoming issue. He's going to also be interviewing Dave Gibbons, Zack Snyder and others. The article will likely not be out until after the new year, but I wanted to give you a heads up.

Neat!

Is there an online edition of the magazine or will we need to buy it to read your interview?

It was great. I think we chatted for a couple hours. Not sure if it will end up online. I'm guessing he'll let me reprint it on the site at some point.

Unbelievable. Our site has grown so large and so well-respected that Doomsday represents the Watchmen fans as Gibbons represents the graphic novel and Snyder represents the movie. This is just incredible.

I can't wait to read this interview. It sounds like Baz is writing an exceptionally comprehensive piece about Watchmen and he certainly went to the cream of the crop for interviews. Great press for the graphic novel, great press for the movie and great press for the site. All it needs is a ton of readers and there's nothing left to be desired.

Not even the film being word-for-word faithful? ;)
But yeah, it would definitely be awesome even if its a very short appearance...
The best thing would have to be his own audio commentary track documenting bits of the fan journey
"Ah yes, here's the squid. Believe me, nothing about this film was speculated about more than this creature. Nothing. I'll never forget the day the news that the squid was confirmed for the film hit the internet. The forum had to be shut for 72 hours due to excessive traffic." :D

DDC, get in touch with WB!! It'd be awesome to see representation on the disc!

They know where to find me. That would definitely be very cool.

Well, okay. That would make me happier. :)

It would be an honor to represent this site and the fandom. But I'll be the first to say that DD's earned the first interview dibs.

Maybe we could do the fan commentary track together. ;)

Now that's something I'd like to get in on. You just know there's going to be at least one of us pointing out all the pyramids and symbolism, both intentional and unintentional.

Can't wait for the commentary on the catching the bullet scene, everyone arguing ovevr the symbolism of the blood and wether or not it's possible

That's great! Congrats.

Is there a website for the magazine? I haven't been able to find it.

Oh yes, the glorious chaos!

Heck, I'd listen to it for Kingmob's contribution alone - that would be worth the price of the dvd.

Congrats on the interview DDC, brilliant news to hear you are being recognised for your efforts.
