I know television has really sucked lately. Too many "reality" shows. I'm sure we all have busy schedules and probably don't have too much time for t.v. but, when you do watch, what do you guys enjoy? What are you're favorite shows/programs etc.? My favorite t.v. series is M*A*S*H. It's such a great show that still does better than most modern series. Arrested Development was hilarious! Scrubs is really funny too. I love South Park, especially the last few seasons. King of the Hill is cool too.

Just thinking about some of the old great Saturday morning cartoons.
I thought "SPIDERMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES" on Fox was just great.

You guys remember T.G.I.F???

Right now, there are only 2 shows that I watch, Supernatural and House.

In the past:
The West Wing
Brimstone
The Guardian
All in the Family and
M*A*S*H
all were standouts.

Does anyone remember the animated version of X-Men? I enjoyed that one too.

Yes! I really enjoyed those cartoons. And the Spider-Man ones too. Does anyone know if they're out on dvd?

I'm sure it is. I know I saw the "Venom Saga" somewhere on dvd.

I think one of the best animated show was the Batman one from the early to late 90's. That was the only thing outside of the comic books that felt true to the character, (and that's including the movies). Had a cool retro 20'/30's look to Gotham, and the stories were told with a surprising amount of subtlety. Good voice work as well.

Yes. And if I remember correctly it's won several Emmy's as well. The Superman series wasn't bad either, and it was done with the same talent as the Batman series. I remember really liking the crossover episodes.

Oh yes, a superb show. I loved that as a kid, got some of videos of it (though they were hard to find). Reportedly Bryan Singer was given all the DVDs of it, which he thoroughly enjoyed (must've taken a while). It's a pity the complete collection was never released to the consumer, not here anyway :(

First of all, if you don't like the state of TV today, blame the AMPTP. The sooner those bullies back down and get the strike over with, the sooner we can go back to quality comedies, dramas and late-night shows. Enough of this reality show crap.

I also enjoy Arrested Development, though I've only seen the first season. I'm also an avowed Browncoat, so I think it's absolutely a crime how Fox treated Firefly and other quality shows.

The TV I watch is very limited. For me, the essentials are The Daily Show and The Colbert Report. I haven't missed an episode of either one in years. The show is absolute genius. Without the perspective those shows provide, I would've curled up and died out of grief for the world today.

The Soup is another important show for me. I would never, ever watch reality or daytime TV aside from the clips in that show. Their satire and much-needed put-down jokes are desperately needed for our celebrity-drenched and shallow world, especially on such a celebrity-drenched and shallow channel.

I also watch Battlestar Galactica (a truly great drama which is just ending) and Pushing Daisies (a truly great dramedy which is just beginning).

For any Fox show, being cancelled is a sign of merit.
