Various explosions (well, water splashing could be seen as an 'explosion' couldn't it?)

Explosions = Michael Bay = OH DEAR GOD NO!

Megan Fox as Silk Spectre II. I shudder.

For my part, I don't think he's a horrible director. He's certainly a mediocre director, but not on par with Stephen Sommers, Brett Ratner, Rob Cohen, Roland Emmerich, Joel Schumacher, Mark Steven Johnson or Uwe "Toilet" Boll.

I've got grudges against all of those directors, but I've got nothing against Michael Bay. I've seen so many other directors commit the same offenses that Bay's been accused of, and commit them far more flagrantly than Bay ever has. For that reason, I just can't bring myself to hate Bay as much as everyone else seems to.

Having said that, I'll make no effort to defend his work, either.

Call me simple minded, but the main point of movies is to entertain. I dont care about the story in most movies. Bay gives you lots of action, and its entertaining. Sure some of his movies suck, but I loved Transformers. Transformers 2 is gonna be even better ( especially with Devastator and The Fallen in it). Big robots, explosions, blood, tons of CGI? Count me in.

My God.

You're like a walking parody of everything that's wrong with the movie-going public nowadays.

Lol I wouldn't say that. You couldn't pay me to see the Beverly Hills dog movie. But when it comes to action movies I've come to expect no plot. Not every movie has to be Oscar worthy.

Your post is a lot less depressing with the knowledge that you were only referring to action movies.

Lol between watching Lost and typing that post I knew I was forgetting something. And I'm not saying I prefer that action movies have no plot, just that I've come to expect it and that I can still love them despite the plot holes. 300 wasn't winning any Oscars but damn do I love that movie. So does literally every person I know.

Transformers 3 is supposed to have Unicron in it.

I hate to sound like that guy, but I think you going into his movies expecting something with a great storyline. MB is good at what he does, and thats action movies, except for Transformers, hopefully he knows now.
