Do it, I seriously hope that they take inspiration from DV for the next movie because going with TLH as a source for The Dark Knight worked out quite well ;)

Yes, it did.

Hopefully I will like DV as much as I liked TLH.

It's Strikes Again... but ;)

And it's worth at least 1 read... then you'll probably get sick of it

So, I read Haunted Knight last knight ( ) and I have a new ranking of Top five Batman stories!

5t) The Killing Joke
5t) The Long Halloween
4) Dark Victory
3) Haunted Knight
2) BM: YO

Just finished Batman Year One. I really, really liked it but I'm not sure where I would rank it.

On a side note, I wish it was longer. It was too short.

Here's a question...I've read only a few Batman comics before, but I'm tempted to read DKR. Is this advisable?

No, not at all. Any copy you see should be taken and thrown into a fire.

I'M LYING!!!! READ THE BOOK!

Yes, read it. It's definately a bit different than other Batman comics, though.

^Well, the order that I read my limited Batman comics in was
1) Batman Year One
2) The Killing Joke
3) Hush
4) The Long Halloween
5) Dark Knight Returns

(I think thats about the right order right...)

If I had known when the Long Halloween was set, I would have read it directly after Year One. I would definitely reccommend reading DKR last out of the ones you are interested in though, but either way, it's so great it stands on it's own.

DKR is definitly one of the best Batman stories (and overall stories) out there, I read it at the begining of my mission, not of comics but the great works that were among them

DKR was my first GN. I love it!

I love this thread, whenever I want a new Batman I check here, and although people seem to like a lot of the same titles i sometimes find a new one. :)
