the Dr. M. figures are both the same except one is translucent. They both come with regular legs attached, and an extra set of "floating" legs inside the box.

I took a gamble and bought the Dr M variant today in the hopes that he'd have a nice glow when you shine a light through, and the results were exceptional...
The pictures should illustrate my point:

For best results, light up the figure from directly behind - I can't show you pictures though as they don't come out so great when the brightness is auto-adjusted...

Also, the other three I have:

I was only going to get the Comedian and Ozymandias right now and slowly work my way up so I didn't spend too much at once and end up broke and starving, but that manip has pushed me over the edge. I'm going to have to buy the Manhattan variant too.

Was in a Toys R Us on Sunday and it was like the Rorschach Fairy was there right before me. I didn't even count how many of the prisoner variants they had--2 pegs full plus 2 or 3 extras hanging on the end of the aisle. Oddly enough that was the only thing Watchmen they had, but lots of 'em.

Seems like it's the only thing they stock up at TRU. For an action figure variant, it's definitely not hard to spot. The only other figure I was able to find in-store when they sold out were two Nite Owl I's.

Looks like they restocked online also--now they have a bunch of figures in stock (wave 2, prisoner schach, Ozy, big schach). They also have the Ozy and schach busts and a "framed movie poster" for $40 which is schach...

the description (no sizes/dimensions are given):

"Watchmen Framed Movie Poster is finished and textured with Artist Glaze that enhances and protects the printed image, movie screen technology, and framed with a 1 1/4 inch block style frame. "

Today was my birthday... and I got the Nite Owl II and Ozymandias action figures (along with other stuff... SAMURAI JACK on DVD, anyone?)
LOVE 'EM. Great detail and articulation. The Ozy figure looks strikingly similar to Goode.

I got a few today. Ozymandias, Comedian, and the variant Dr. Manhattan. They are great figures. I loved the colors in Ozy's costume and they look great on the figure, too. The Manhattan variant is beautiful as well. I've been playing with them all day :D I was originally going to just stick with these three because they are my favorites, but I like them so much I'm going to get Ror, Laurie, and Dan too, when I have the money. I'm not too interested in Sally and Hollis, even though Sally does look lovely in the box.

I now own Nite Owl II and Rorschach standard action figures, love them both despite Ror's lack of posability which sucks... but he's still pretty nice to look at. Absolutely adore Nite Owl II, perfect action figure... apart from his 'Owl-rang' thing keeps falling off which can be annoying. My most recent purchase was the Dr Manhattan figure, (not the variant unfortunately). I was debating whether to get him or Ozy, I almost got both but thought I'd wait until next week (when the STUDENT LOAN!!! comes through) and settled for Manhattan. I really like him as a figure, and he is superbly detailed.

I'm hoping to get all of them but I'm not sure whether to bother with the minutemen figures of Nite Owl and Sally Jupiter. I also don't know whether to get Laurie, but I guess I can't get the other guys and leave her out can I??

Also got the unmasked Rorschach on pre-order at PLAY.com... can't wait for that one!

I was going to leave all of mine in their boxes but I just couldn't ... i love them so much I've got to have them on display! Especially Rorschach who I think I showed to everyone who came within 5 feet of me the day I got him.

I'll put in one more plug for the Sally figure--I think it's way better than the Laurie figure. Sexier too.
