To me the only character worthy to face Manhattan is Doomsday from Superman:

If Dr.Manhattan didnt decide to use his burster move, this would be one hell of a fight.

Hmm, I remember reading that specific graphic novel. Although I'm not a big fan of Supes, it was pretty good. I would say this guy has a chance of taking on Dr. Manhattan.

Possibly someone like Thor as he is a God.
I doubt it though...

The only one I can truly think of would be Supes, but thats boring.

Pointless thread because, as far as im aware, Jon cant die. Cant be destroyed. He will always exist (Well, you know, he dont exist, but if he did).

Yeah he'd just rebuild himself like he did when he turned into Dr. Manhattan.

No thread is pointless if it results in rampant smartassery.

Richard Alpert. Those tachyons might keep some things out, but not him.

Only some one who could reassemble themselves like Jon could maybe stop him, but no one else could because he'd just keep putting himself together and Jon doesn't have the emotional drive to NOT use his *kaboom* move.

And Superman couldn't stop Jon, Jon'd just blow him up, or turn himself into kryptonite, or something else.

I don't know but what if there was a character who time traveled and killed Osterman before he entered the generator, that would arguably be killing Jon because then Dr. MAnhattan would never be born. (Oh crap I'm sounding like Hamm right now)

Jean Grey/Dark Phoenix -- She ate a planet. She could eat him. (Wait, that sounded a whole lot less dirty in my head...) What I mean is, she has similar powers. The fact that's she's passionate while Jon is usually quite passive would probably work in her favor...

The Beyonder -- He's an annoying character, but he can basically do anything. Could he beat Jon? Maybe. Then again, I kinda hope he loses anyway.

Proteus/Kevin McTaggert/Mutant X -- Can change reality into whatever he wants. Jon's powerful, but it's hard to fight reality...

Jamie Braddock -- Another Marvel mutant who controls reality...geez, what is it with Marvel and seriously over-powered characters...Anyway, this one doesn't really count, because Jamie just wouldn't bother with Jon anyway...

Deadpool -- because he's the best at whatever it is that Wolverine does. (Wait, that's not right.) Because he can produce endless weapons from a place you don't wanna know about. (Eww.) Because he--

Okay...he'd probably just steal his wallet. Or something.

But this is who'd really be able to defeat Dr. M:

Chuck Norris -- because, well...he's Chuck freaking Norris.

But wouldn't Jon just blow them up? I don't really know the characters

Jesus christ what comic books are these 'reality changing' characters from? I HAVE to read how you can make a storyline out of that.

Cause so far, i got 'Guy wants. Gets what he wants. No one can stop him cause he fucking controls reality'.

Is that it?

LOL I too would like to read about these reality changing characters, LOL.

And Deadpool against Dr. M would be hilarious. I think at best he might actually drive Dr. M to distraction, LOL. It would be a lot of smartassery, that's for sure.

I think maybe Galactus, eater of worlds, might have a good go against Dr. M, perhaps. He seems most qualified.

Here's his info, incase you don't know him. http://www.marvel.com/universe/Galactus
