These photos are of a set being built in Vancouver where Byrne Road meets Marine Drive. The Rumors have been that the set is being built for the remake of The Day The Earth Stood Still, but from the detail of one on the signs on a building in the back, which reads “RUMRUNNER,” it is obvious these sets are for the upcoming Watchmen film adaptation. This photo was taken at the Marine Building in Vancouver. The photographer was told by a crew member they were shooting for Watchmen. The shot could have been for a flashback scene of a 1946 robbery where early hero Dollar Bill was killed. It will likely be used, like the JFK scene below, to set up past events of the alternate world where Watchmen takes place.
